What better sight when you are hungry than sate sticks cooking gently over charcoal? We had them served with yummy sate sauce and slices of lontong in a bowl. ( lontong is cooked rice rolled in banana leaf and left to cool, then cut into small cakes or pieces. )
After much looking we finally found a sate cart in the back streets of kuta. Real street food has become hard to find as the large restaurants have bribed the government to ban them from the streets of kuta.
Colour on the beach. I love the fact that bang smack in the middle of all the touro/commercial bustle of Kuta beach is a little traditional boatmaker nestled under the shady trees.
We had a king tide yesterday & guys were surfing 20m off the beach outside the Discovery Shopping Centre in the middle of Kuta!
